TEHRAN (Defapress) - Brigadier General Pilot Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support, stated during the President's visit to the exhibition of achievements of the Ministry of Defense in the aerospace sector: "In the future, space will be the focus of all sciences; therefore, it is necessary to compensate for our shortcomings in this field at a faster pace."
Brigadier General Nasirzadeh, referring to the collaboration between the Ministry of Defense and 7,000 private companies and 300 knowledge enterprises, added: "A very good connection has been established between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Communications in the space sector, and private companies have also been employed in this field."
The Minister of Defense said: "We began our space activities by building satellites, and when we faced challenges in the field of satellite launches, we turned to building satellite carriers. Today, we have reached maturity in this field and have good plans for the future. It is also possible that in the future, we will provide services to countries with which we have good relations."
He mentioned that there will be 2 space launches in February and added: "Significant work has been done in the field of orbital transfer blocks, and if these efforts succeed, we will reach geostationary orbit. Work on the Sarir satellite carrier has begun, and we will send the heaviest payloads into space with this carrier. This will pave the way for the establishment of a space constellation."
