TEHRAN (Defapress) - In continuation of the Zulfiqar 1403 military maneuver, the "Monir" passive detection system, which can detect targets with a very low radar cross-section without emitting any waves, detected and shot down the attacking drones in a coordinated operation with the "Martyr Majid" low-altitude missile system.

Deploying New Monir Passive Detection System

Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh, spokesman for the joint Zolfaqar army maneuver, referring to the use of new and indigenous systems by the Air Defense Force in the field of detection and reconnaissance, said: The Monir passive detection system is designed to meet the needs of the Army Air Defense Force in the field of engagement with targets with a low cross-section, and it can detect targets with 360-degree coverage and without emitting any waves and provide their precise location to the engagement systems.

He added: Another capability of the Majid systems and the Monir detection and reconnaissance system is the ability of high mobility of these 2 systems; Given the advancement of anti-defense weapons, mobility is a vital issue for defense systems, because if defense systems, especially low-altitude systems that engage targets at closer distances, are stationary, the possibility of discovering their location and being targeted increases.
