TEHRAN (Defapress) - The US State Department announced that the second round of our (indirect) talks with the Iranians in Rome witnessed significant progress.
The US State Department's statement reads: We reached an agreement with the Iranian side to resume talks next week.
It is noted that Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement on the details of the second round of indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the US in Rome.
The statement reads: The second round of indirect talks between Iran and the US, which began Saturday, April 19, in Rome, with the coordination and facilitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and in the presence of Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Steve Witkoff, Special Representative of the President of the United States for the Middle East, ended with the parties' understanding to hold another round of talks next week.
The Omani Foreign Ministry, which hosted the second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States, said in a statement that dialogue and clear communication were the only way to achieve a credible and reliable understanding that would benefit all parties in the regional and international context.
The ministry added that the next round of talks would be held in Muscat in the coming days.
