30 International Organizations Accuse Israel of Defying UN Resolution on Ending Occupation of Palestine

30 humanitarian and rights groups have condemned Zionist regime for escalating violence in the West Bank and Gaza, violating both a fragile ceasefire and a UN General Assembly resolution demanding an end to its occupation of Palestinian territories within one year.

TEHRAN (Defapress) - 30 organizations, including Oxfam, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and ActionAid, have released a joint statement highlighting that more than 6 months have passed since the UN General Assembly called on Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian territory within 12 months, in accordance with an International Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion.

However, rather than complying, Zionist regime has escalated violence in the West Bank and reinstated its blockade and military attacks on Gaza, shattering a precarious 2 month ceasefire and worsening the human-made humanitarian catastrophe, the groups said.

The statement urges world leaders to act immediately to fulfill their legal and moral obligations, including by:

Ending Israel’s illegal occupation and demanding the complete withdrawal of its military, civilians, and infrastructure from Palestinian territories.

Holding Israel accountable for breaches of international humanitarian law.

Suspending all arms transfers to Israel.

Stopping trade and business dealings with illegal settlements or any activities that sustain Israel’s unlawful occupation.

Promoting multilateral cooperation to support Palestinian self-determination.
