Latest Status of Iranian Citizen Detained in Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Majid Rezapanah, Head of the Consular and Judicial Support Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated regarding the status of the detained Iranian citizen, Eminance Gholamreza Ghasemian in Saudi Arabia: The consular section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in line with its inherent duties to protect the rights of Iranian citizens in all corners of the world, has followed up on the matter through our country's consulate in Jeddah after learning of the arrest of an Iranian citizen named Eminance Gholamreza Ghasemian in Mecca.

Regarding the latest status of the aforementioned citizen, he stated: From the first minutes of his arrest, the political and consular mission of the Islamic Republic in Saudi Arabia took action and issued an official note demanding his release.

The head of the Department of Consular and Judicial Support at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: "Fortunately, with intensive follow-up by the representative and representative of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Jeddah, he has met with him twice so far, and a third consular meeting with him is scheduled to take place in the coming hours."
