TEHRAN (Defapress) - Major General Imam Ali Saberzadeh, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, spoke by phone with Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

We Do Not Trust the Promises and Commitments of the United States and the Zionists

In this conversation, while congratulating and wishing success to Major General Mousavi as the new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Saberzadeh said: The martyrdom of Martyr Lieutenant General Bagheri and other commanders of the armed forces, as well as the innocent people of Iran, is a great sorrow for the government, people and armed forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, and please accept our condolences for the loss of these loved ones.

The Tajik Defense Minister, emphasizing the deep cultural, linguistic, and historical commonalities between the two countries, described the relations between Tajikistan and Iran as based on brotherhood, adding: The government and people of the Republic of Tajikistan consider the people of Iran as their friends and accept them as true brothers.

Major General Mousavi also thanked the Republic of Tajikistan for its support for Iran during the 12-day imposed war and noted: Martyr General Lieutenant General Bagheri has always paid special attention to the Republic of Tajikistan and emphasized the development and bilateral relations between the armed forces of Iran and Tajikistan, and positive and effective steps have been taken in this direction, and I will continue this path.

He continued, reporting on the course of the 12-day imposed war between the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, and said: "With this shameless crime, the enemy proved to the world that although the United States and the child-killing Zionist regime did not adhere to any international principles or norms and fought with all their might against the Iranian armed forces for 12 days, they did not achieve their goals and received heavy blows, which is why they called for a ceasefire to save the Zionist regime."

Major General Mousavi concluded by stating: "We do not trust the promises and commitments of the Americans and the Zionists in any way, and we are fully prepared to decisively confront their possible renewed evil."
