TEHRAN (Defapress) - Thousands protested across the United States on Saturday, from Philadelphia to Los Angeles, against the violent actions of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent. In particular, the number of protesters in Minneapolis, where a 27-year-old American woman was killed, was higher.

According to France 24 news network, officials from the Trump administration claimed the agent acted in self-defense, but protesters and Minneapolis city officials say all evidence and recorded footage from the incident contradict the Trump administration's claim, and the woman was completely away from the scene and posed no threat to the agent.
According to Al-Alam, only in Philadelphia, thousands protested and demanded a reduction in the number of ICE agents in American cities and held them accountable for their actions.
Minnesota's representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, Angie Craig, told reporters: "The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is well aware that ICE has committed actions contrary to federal laws of the United States."
The mayor of Minneapolis also strongly criticized the disruptive actions of these agents, which were carried out at the order of Trump across the United States, especially in this city.
An American woman was killed on Thursday after an ICE agent shot her in Minneapolis, leading to conflicting reactions from local and federal officials.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security stated that the woman attempted to attack agents with her vehicle, and the officer fired in self-defense, but local officials rejected this narrative.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said he reviewed the incident video and rejected claims that the shooting was justified, calling it a reckless use of force. He demanded the removal of federal immigration agents from the city.
