TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, a spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) told the Iraqi Kurdistan Rudaw network: About 1,500 members of the ISIS terrorist group have escaped from al-Shaddadi prison on the outskirts of al-Hasakah province in eastern Syria.

On the other hand, the Jolani regime’s Interior Ministry claimed to have arrested 81 ISIS elements who had escaped from al-Shaddadi prison.
In this regard, a Syrian security source announced yesterday, Monday, that dozens of ISIS elements had escaped from Al-Ma’al prison, following the withdrawal of the SDF forces and the entry of elements affiliated with the Golani regime into the area.
He added that after the SDF forces withdrew from the area around the prison, chaos and insecurity gripped the area, and dozens of ISIS elements managed to escape.
The security source stated: The elements affiliated with Jolani were unable to take control of the situation in Al-Ma’al prison, and these ISIS elements who escaped from the prison are a major security threat to the region, especially since they are close to the Al-Hawl camp, which contains thousands of ISIS elements in Syria.
He clarified: There are serious concerns about these elements carrying out terrorist operations in different areas.
