TEHRAN (Defapress) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi wrote in a message on X: "The World Economic Forum, influenced by the lies and political pressure of Israel and its American supporters and justifyers, prevented me from attending this event.

Araghchi's Reaction to the Cancellation of the Davos Invitation

But there is a fundamental truth regarding the recent events in Iran: We should have defended our people against armed terrorists and ISIS-style massacres that were openly supported by the Mossad.

But the sad irony is that the genocide of the Palestinians by Israel and the mass murder of 71,000 innocent people did not cause the World Economic Forum to refuse to invite Israeli officials. In fact, Herzog even took a victory lap in Davos in January 2024, while he was being sought in Switzerland for his alleged role in the blatant genocide in Gaza.

The World Economic Forum can pretend to be “ethical,” but it would be good if it did not have double standards in its “pretense.” The double standards it has displayed are nothing more than a sign of moral decadence and intellectual bankruptcy.

People have the right to know the truth and judge for themselves. Shame is reserved only for those who think otherwise.
