TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a meeting with General Celestin Simpore, Minister of State, War and Homeland Defense of Burkina Faso, Brigadier General Pilot Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces, emphasized the expansion of Iran’s relations with independent and revolutionary countries in Africa.

In a meeting with General Celestin Simpore, Minister of State, War and Homeland Defense of Burkina Faso, in Tehran, the Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces appreciated the positions of the Burkina Faso government in condemning the Zionist regime’s desperate action against the Islamic Republic of Iran and sending a message of sympathy and condolences to the Minister of Defense.
Referring to the importance and status of the African continent, and especially the independent countries of this continent, in the foreign and defense policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he emphasized the adoption of a principled policy of developing relations with independent and revolutionary countries in the West African region, especially Burkina Faso.
The Minister of Defense also described the revolutions in the Sahel region, including Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali, as a popular movement against colonial policies, and mentioned the increased convergence and commendable action of these three countries in forming the Sahel Union against pressure from Western countries.
Brigadier General Nasirzadeh continued by referring to the continuation of the conspiracy of Western countries aimed at undermining the sovereignty and independence of Burkina Faso, and emphasized the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for independent countries.
In this meeting, General Celestin Simpoure, Minister of State, War and Homeland Defense of the Republic of Burkina Faso, while expressing sympathy with the Iranian nation and respect for the martyrs of the 12-day imposed war, praised the resistance of the Iranian people and stated: We respect the resistance of the Iranian people who defended their identity and independence and maintained it against all imperialist domination.
He added: We believe that the world can be in complete peace if the relations of domination between countries are broken and more space is given to justice and peace.
