TEHRAN (Defapress) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the Western inaction over the martyrdom of girls at Minab school in southern Iran horrifying, saying: "The seriousness of the situation with this attack lies in the large number of victims in the first few days (the number of victims at the school exceeded 170 girls) and the lack of an appropriate response from those who kill innocent people."

Zakharova noted that Western public discourse is dominated by hostile rhetoric instead of words of sympathy and condolences.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also added: "Not a single word of condolences has been expressed to the relatives, and this is shocking."
The Russian official's comments came as a girls' elementary school in the small town of Minab, located in Hormozgan province in southern Iran, was deliberately hit and destroyed on the first day of the attack. As a result of this criminal attack, more than 170 innocent female students lost their lives, and their bodies were pulled from the rubble after hours of rescue operations.
On the same day, similar attacks in other cities, including east of Tehran and Abyek in Qazvin province, also killed several students.
