The Foreign Minister of Iran, while thanking for the message of condolences and Malaysia's position in condemning the US and Zionist military aggression against Iran and the martyrdom of the dear leader and honorable Iranian compatriots, explained the crimes committed by the US and the Zionist regime against the Iranian people and emphasized that the brave Iranian armed forces will defend Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity with all their might.
Referring to the US’s misuse of the territory of regional countries to plan, execute, and support aggressive operations against Iran, the Foreign Minister of Iran stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran considers itself obligated to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with the principles of international law and Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, and accordingly considers the military bases and assets of the aggressors in the region to be legitimate targets.” He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no animosity towards the countries bordering the Persian Gulf and is committed to a policy of good neighborliness and friendship with these countries, and we regret that the territory of the Muslim countries of the region is being misused by the American aggressors during the month of Ramadan to brutally attack a Muslim country and kill Muslims.
The Malaysian Prime Minister also referred to his political consultations with the heads of regional countries and called for a quick end to the aggressive war and the establishment of peace and stability in the region. He added that Malaysia will spare no effort in this regard.
