US Radar Destroyed at Harir Base by Advanced Iranian Drone

TEHRAN (Defapress) - An informed source announced on Sunday that one of the most important American radars at Harir base in the Iraqi Kurdistan region was disabled after being targeted by an advanced Iranian drone.

The source said in an interview with Al-Ma’alumah: “The central radar, which is located in the western part of Harir base and which the American forces stationed there are directly dependent on, was targeted by an advanced drone that was flying at a very high speed.”

He added that this drone is different from known Iranian drones and appears to be of a new generation that has probably been recently used by Tehran,” and emphasized that “its accuracy in hitting the target was very high.”

The source said: “The drone directly targeted the radar, which caused it to catch fire for more than an hour. The attack destroyed one of the most important early warning and surveillance systems for American forces stationed at the base, which is located in a vital area near Erbil.”

The source noted that the attack marks the entry of advanced drones into operations targeting American positions inside the Kurdistan Region.
