Integrated Defense Network Inflicted Heavy Damage on Enemy Drones
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, commander of the Army Air Defense Force and the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Joint Air Defense Base, stated: The enemy has admitted to the billion-dollar loss of the loss of MQ-9 drones in the Third Imposed War, while this aircraft, with its special design and capabilities for combined missions of strategic reconnaissance, electro-optical surveillance, signal collection and pinpoint attacks with guided weapons, was considered the backbone of the enemy’s air operations doctrine for intelligence superiority and deep strikes.

Brigadier General Elhami continued: Despite these capabilities, Iran's defense, with the speed of processing radar data and other measures and initiatives, reversed the axis of these one-sided missions, and the integrated and intelligent air defense network inflicted one of the heaviest equipment losses on the air power of the aggressor enemies in the history of air battles. This success in the widespread hunting of the enemy's advanced drones in the Third Imposed War is considered a redefinition of air defense deterrence.
The commander of the Iranian Army Air Defense Force added: "A comparison of the capacities of the two sides shows that although the enemy, by utilizing a massive air and drone fleet, was trying to win the drone battle with a high volume of fire and up-to-date technologies, including the MQ-9 Reaper, Hermes 900, Orbiter, Lucas, and Hermes 450 drones, Iran's different response, using intelligent tactics of dispersion, electronic deception, and precision strikes, severely reduced the effectiveness of their air strikes and weakened the enemy's drone arm."
While honoring the memory of the martyrs of the country's air defense complex who stood against the enemy in the most difficult conditions, sacrificing their lives, he added: "In addition to the Reaper drones, other advanced enemy drones, including "Heron", "Hermes 900", "Orbiter" and "Hermes 450" and "Lucas", were also targeted and destroyed during the Ramadan War by the zealous men of the country's integrated air defense network in the army and the IRGC."
The commander of the Army Air Defense Force and the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Joint Air Defense Base, praising the popular forces, especially the nomads, for their sense of responsibility and solidarity with the armed forces, added: "The success of the air defense in intercepting and destroying the enemy's advanced and expensive drones is more than just a victory in equipment; it is a redefinition of deterrence in the airspace, because with the disruption in the "surveillance - identification - targeting and hitting" chain, which is usually carried out by drones, the enemy's ability to make instantaneous decisions without intelligence has practically remained incomplete. Of course, maintaining this achievement requires continuous strengthening of radar infrastructure, electronic warfare, and continuous updating of anti-drone systems and weapons. In this short period of the war, we have made important achievements in this field, but we are never satisfied with these achievements and progress, and regardless of the future after the ceasefire, we must always think about improving our defense capabilities."
