Details of the Farewell, Funeral, and Burial Ceremony of the Martyred Imam Khamenei Have Been Announced

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Announcement No. 3 of the Headquarters for Commemorating the Ascension of Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei was issued.

The text of this announcement is as follows;

Following the ascension of the supreme authority of the Shiite world, the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the standard-bearer of the front of truth and resistance, martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, the Islamic world mourns the loss of a great man who spent his entire blessed life in exalting the word of truth, defending Islam, serving the people, and guiding the Islamic Ummah. That martyred leader, with unwavering faith, sincere struggle, steadfast patience, and divine insight, always kept high the banner of the independence of dear Iran and the guidance and dignity of the Islamic Ummah. The name and memory of that unparalleled figure will endure in the history of dear Iran, the Islamic world, and in the hearts of the free people of the world.

The Headquarters for Commemorating the Ascension of Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei, while offering condolences to the blessed presence of the Imam Madi (AJ), the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, and all free nations attached to the path of truth, expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation for the passionate and faithful presence of the mobilized people of Islamic Iran and all devotees of Islam and the revolution.

Following the previous announcements of this headquarters and considering the planning undertaken, it is hereby announced to the noble and mourning public that the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies for the pure bodies of that martyred leader and his family members, the martyrs Dr. Mesbah al-Hoda Bagheri-Kani, Seyyedeh Boshra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad-Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpaygani, will be held as follows:

Saturday and Sunday, July 4–5, 2026: Farewell ceremony for the pure bodies at the Imam Khomeini Musalla, Tehran.

Monday, July 6, 2026: Funeral procession in Tehran.

Tuesday, July 7, 2026: Funeral procession in the holy city of Qom.

Thursday, July 9, 2026: Funeral procession in Mashhad and burial at the shrine of Imam Reza.

All noble and dear people, the free people of the world, devotees of the school of Islam, and lovers of Iran are invited to bid farewell to that martyred leader by attending these magnificent ceremonies.

Finally, while thanking the responsible institutions and grassroots groups for their extensive arrangements and planning for this event, it is emphasized that the primary role in organizing these ceremonies will be played by the noble and ever-present people as the true owners of this mourning, and, God willing, a magnificent and unparalleled manifestation of a popular event will be realized.
