Indigenous Defense Systems Were Replaced in the Shortest Possible Time

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with Defapress correspondent, Brigadier General Mohammad Sadeghian, describing the performance of air defense in the Second and Third Imposed Wars, stated: "We carried out the assigned missions well in the second and third imposed wars, and to make a fair judgment in this regard, the scale and volume of the enemy's attacks must be taken into account.

Referring to the enemy's military power, Brigadier General Sadeghian added: "Confronting a weak country is one thing, but when the criminal America and the Zionist regime attack a country with such a huge amount of weapons capabilities, analyzing countermeasures against them requires years of study and teaching in universities and books."

The Deputy Coordinator of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force continued: "As a soldier who has spent his life in this complex, I testify that many claimant countries in the field of air defense certainly could not resist such an attack."

He stated: "We stood firm until the last moment and destroyed valuable targets. The important point is that in the final days of the war, which led to the enemy's request for a ceasefire, we hit planes whose destruction is unprecedented in the history of world wars. This great achievement was the result of the brilliant performance of our loved ones in the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, the Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the country's integrated air defense network."

Regarding the replacement of damaged defense systems, Brigadier General Sadeghian also said: "In various exercises, the main advantage of indigenous systems was revealed to us; when it is a non-indigenous system, we are forced to buy from foreign sources and are caught up in the complexities of supply in critical conditions in the world, but the indigenous system is the creation of our own scientists, factories and industrial centers."

The Deputy Coordinator of the Army's Air Defense Force added: "Naturally, the process of replacing, updating, and fixing the problems of these systems is much easier. This issue was on the agenda not only after the war, but from the very first day of the conflict, and as soon as a system was damaged, it was reconditioned and replaced in the shortest possible time; therefore, the enemy's claim that our defense was destroyed has no place among the Arabs."

Referring to the measures taken after the ceasefire, he said: "Today we are witnessing that our brave forces in the defense force, to defend the country's sovereignty and fulfill the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, are hitting any hostile bird that intends to approach Iranian waters and skies, even in the Strait of Hormuz. This continuation of authority is the greatest document and proof that the process of replacing equipment has been completed in full; otherwise, such a display of power would not have been possible."
