Our Country's System Has Collapsed

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan's Interior Minister, in his speech on the occasion of the first Pakistan Economic Summit in Islamabad, stated: Despite my constant efforts to avoid political speeches, today I am forced to make a political speech to some extent.

He noted: The system we live in has collapsed and its problems cannot be solved. If this system continues like this, the same problems will continue ten years from now. As long as we do not reform the basic principles of the country, the situation will remain like this. The question is who will reform these issues? These issues will be reformed the day the people decide to reform things.

Mohsin Naqvi clarified: Pakistani youth are demanding their rights and want to be employed in government departments based on merit. If the youth decide, they can turn everything upside down. We close our budget with a deficit every year and count on international loans, unaware that the same loans increase our debt every year. Until structural reforms are carried out, no problem in Pakistan will be solved.

The Pakistani Interior Minister added: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif works 12 to 14 hours a day. Even if the Prime Minister works 18 hours, he is only putting out the fire, and there will be no development in Pakistan.

Syed Mohsin Naqvi also said on the sidelines of this ceremony in an interview with reporters: Until the country's system is reformed, individual efforts of politicians will not lead anywhere.

He emphasized: To improve the conditions of Pakistan, all political parties must cooperate; not only the "Muslim League" and the "Pakistan People's Party", but parties such as the "Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf" must also cooperate to improve the conditions of Pakistan.

The Pakistani Interior Minister also denied the news of his appointment as Foreign Minister and emphasized that he will continue to work as Interior Minister.
