Iranian Sacrificers Exercise Held
TEHRAN (Defapress) - The 313,000-person "Iranian Sacrificers" (Jan Fadaye Iran) military exercise and mass gathering was held in Tehran on Friday, September 18, with the participation and organization of popular forces and various segments of society. The exercise was organized as part of a broader effort to demonstrate public readiness to defend the country.
The exercise began at 8 a.m., taking part along routes extending from Imam Hussein Square and the intersection of Navvab Street to Revolution Square. The gathering was organized through the popular Jan Fada campaign, with participation from various groups, including doctors, seminary students, shopkeepers, and artists.
In recent months, the Jan Fada campaign has also been established to create a broad-based popular capacity for the defense of the country. According to the announced figures, 31 million people have registered for military training and preparation to participate in wartime conditions, including in the event of a conflict with the United States.
The 313,000-person exercise in Tehran marks the latest stage in this popular mobilization effort. In addition to the large-scale deployment of Jan Fada forces, the exercise emphasized the public’s preparedness to confront military and security threats. During the exercise, the commander of the Basij Organization also described “Jan-Fada” as a symbol of national resistance battalions and the resilience of the Iranian people in the face of threats.
