US Behind Insecurity in Afghanistan: Iranian GeneralTEHRAN (Defapress) -“It is crystal clear that Americans themselves are the main factor behind insecurity in Afghanistan,” Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari said in a meeting with a group of foreign military attachés residing in Iran.

The killings that have been taking place in the name of religion in Afghanistan over the past twenty years have been directly or indirectly carried out by US agents, the commander said.

Washington is seeking to foment insecurity in Afghanistan in order to justify its unwelcome presence there and implement its political and economic plots, he added.

General Heidari then warned that the very same hands that created Daesh and wreaked havoc on Syria and Iraq have begun to deploy the terrorists to Afghanistan after their defeats in the Arab countries.

The recent killings in Afghanistan are in fact the start of a US plot that entails unending conflicts in the region, the commander deplored, saying, “It is clear that the US has adopted the strategy of endless war to fulfill its interests, and is aiming for regional instability through Daesh.”

In comments in January, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the US role in the emergence of Daesh terrorists in the Middle East, saying those who created the criminal group are seeking to move it to Afghanistan.

In November 2017, Daesh terrorists were flushed out of their last stronghold in Syria’s Al-Bukamal. The city’s liberation marked an end to the group’s self-proclaimed caliphate it had declared in 2014.

In recent months, the terror group has extended its activities in Afghanistan, where fighting has escalated also between the government forces and the Taliban.
