TEHRAN (Defapress) - On Sunday, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, responded to questions from Western media journalists. He devoted a significant portion of his time to defending his actions regarding the provision of food to the people of Gaza and denying the famine.
The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime stated in this press conference that he would not provide a specific timeline for operations in Gaza, declaring that his goal in carrying out the full occupation of the Gaza Strip was to end the Gaza war. Meanwhile, Netanyahu told reporters that he was coordinating and collaborating with the "Donald Trump" administration in planning and executing this operation.
In response to a journalist’s question about Germany’s arms embargo on Israel, Netanyahu noted: "Western leaders, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, privately tell me that Israel is right, but due to public pressure, we cannot say this openly. I tell them that this is your problem."
Later in the press conference, another journalist reminded Netanyahu of Trump’s acknowledgment of the famine in Gaza and his criticism of the situation, challenging its contradiction with Netanyahu’s outright denial of the famine. In response, Netanyahu insisted that Donald Trump, like Israel, holds Hamas responsible for this situation.
When another journalist asked why the regime prevents reporters from entering Gaza, the Israeli Prime Minister claimed their goal was to protect journalists' safety, effectively threatening the media. Hours after this statement, Israel bombed the journalists' tent at Al-Shifa Hospital, killing five media personnel, including Al Jazeera’s journalist Anas al-Sharif.
Of course, during this press conference, Netanyahu claimed in response to one journalist that the people of Gaza had risen against Hamas and that some groups had courageously protested against Hamas. The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime also made ridiculous and demagogic statements about the widespread destruction in Gaza, claiming that buildings and houses were destroyed due to Hamas’s explosive traps.
However, the important and notable point during Netanyahu’s phone call with Trump was the verbal clash between the two. As media reports claimed, during part of the call when discussing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the U.S. President reportedly yelled at Netanyahu. In this regard, NBC News, citing an informed source, reported that the call became tense following Netanyahu’s statement that "there is no famine in Gaza."
The Times of Israel also reported that the day after Netanyahu’s remarks, Trump said he was unconvinced by the Zionist regime's Prime Minister’s assurances about the absence of hunger and famine in Gaza, stating: "There is a serious and real famine in this strip, and you cannot ignore or fake it."
On the other hand, as Israeli media revealed, the recent phone call between the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and the German Chancellor was tense and controversial. Accordingly, an Israeli official told Channel 13 on Friday that the phone call between "Benjamin Netanyahu" and "Friedrich Merz" was highly tense and very contentious.
Last Friday, Friedrich Merz announced that Berlin would halt the export of military equipment to the occupied territories that could be used in the Gaza war, in response to the Zionist regime’s plan to occupy Gaza City.
Following the German Chancellor’s remarks, Benjamin Netanyahu called Friedrich Merz to express his "disappointment" over the matter. In this phone call, Netanyahu reportedly said: "Instead of supporting Israel’s just war against Hamas, which carried out one of the most horrific terrorist attacks against Jews since the Holocaust, Germany is rewarding Hamas terrorism by imposing an arms embargo on Israel."
Finally, Netanyahu’s tense call with Donald Trump regarding the Zionist regime’s military operation to fully occupy the Gaza Strip, the U.S. President’s intense anger at the Israeli Prime Minister, and his emphasis on the serious and real famine in Gaza all indicate the immense and unbearable pressure of American and global public opinion on the Trump administration.
