Sontaggs Blake daily disclosed that the terrorists in Idlib have been equipped with grenades and rifles manufactured by the Swiss RUAG company.
The paper further said that Swiss officials' investigation revealed that the UAE illegally transferred cargoes of grenades purchased from the Swiss company to terrorist-held regions in Syria via Jordan.
The paper further said when the photos released in 2012 showed the Swiss-made grenades in terrorists' hands, a spokesperson of the Sontaggs Blake Company was left with no other choice but to acknowledge that the grenades were possibly a part of an arms consignment sold to the UAE.
Earlier this month, the army men carried out mop-up operation in the village of al-Mo'alaqa and in the small town of Jabata al-Khashab in Quneitra, finding a large volume of weapons, munitions and medicines in regions that were once under control by ISIL and Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front).
Israel and American sniper rifles, machineguns, rockets, cannons, communication devices and medicines were found in the terrorists' positions.
Local sources said last month that the army men conducted a mop-up operation in Houleh region in Northern Homs, discovering a large depot of terrorists' arms and ammunition, adding that PKC machineguns, sniper rifles made by the western states as well as Israeli grenades were among the seized weapons and munitions.
