The Yemeni army and popular committees scored gains against Saudi mercenaries in Hudaydah on Sunday, managing to kill more than 113 in the coastal province, the source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Saba news agency.
He added the attacks on the militant positions also left 156 of them wounded.
Some 70 military vehicles belonging to the militants were also destroyed during the operation.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE launched an offensive on June 13 to capture Hudaydah, the main entry point for food in a country teetering on the brink of famine.
The operation, however, came into an immediate halt in the face of stiff resistance by Houthi Ansarullah movement fighters and residents of the port city, which forced the kingdom to wind down the push.
