Anniversary of the massacre against the healthcare system of Gaza

TEHRAN (Defapress) – The anniversary of the massacre in Al-Maamadani Hospital brings this text to delve deep into this incident. This Al-Maamadani Hospital is an old Christian hospital in Gaza run by the Episcopal Church of Jerusalem. This hospital was built in 1882 by the Missionary Society of the Church of England.

On the 11th day of its crimes against the Gaza Strip, the Zionist regime's army increased the intensity and scope of its crimes on the eve of US President Biden's visit to occupied Palestine. On October 14, 2023, the cancer diagnostic treatment center of the hospital was hit by an Israeli rocket, and 4 hospital employees were injured, and the upper 2 floors were severely damaged, and the mammography and ultrasound departments were the most damaged. Then this hospital was wholly blown up on October 17, 2023, by the Zionist regime.

The bombing of Al-Maamadani Hospital on October 17, 2023, shocked the world, evoking anger and sorrow. The hospital, providing refuge for thousands of women and children, tragically witnessed the deaths of about 500 Palestinians and injuries to around 10,000 individuals, and the very impressive issue was that women and children constituted the largest number of victims of this crime and human holocaust. The global outcry forced the authorities of the Zionist regime and its Western ally, the US, to try to shift blame onto the Resistance.

British Channel 4 broadcasted a report evaluating the destruction of Al-Maamadani Hospital in the Gaza Strip. In a part of this report, this network considered the tape released by the Israeli army, which claims that 2 Hamas members talked about the possibility of an Islamic Jihad missile hitting the hospital, to be fake. 2 independent experts added that the literature, accent, tone, and type of conversation in the audio tape are fake and cannot be the real conversation of two Hamas members.

The Zionist regime at first tried to bring fake voices and claimed that Hamas was responsible for that attack but after conducting several researches, the military experts predicted that IOF used a US-made bomb, GBU-38, on the Al-Maamadani Hospital. They even found out that the type of explosion and destruction that has been made, the Hamas missile and bomb are not even close to them and they are much more explosive than Hamas missiles. The GBU-38 bomb is the most destructive bomb of the Joint Direct Attack Munition series that the United States has produced and provided to Israel.

The World Health Organization reported that Al-Maamadani Hospital was the last and sole partially operational healthcare facility in northern Gaza. Even the Ministry of Health in Gaza strongly criticized the international community's silence regarding the atrocities committed by the IOF in northern Gaza.

After 376 days, and after all the aggressions and brutality that this devilish regime did in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon and the whole world witnessed them, there is no doubt that not only Israel is the "war criminal by nature", but also the US is the accomplice of this cruelty. Also, another fact revealed that the Zionist regime is trying to cover its defeat after the Al-Aqsa storm, by taking revenge on civilians, especially mothers and kids. But they forgot that their enormous point of weakness which is their illegitimate regime, would not be covered by these inhuman and wild acts.
