TEHRAN (Defapress) - In today's (Monday) press conference, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, admitted that our region has been familiar with these law-breaking approaches of the Zionist regime for several decades and we have thought out the necessary measures to defend the country's interests and nuclear industry.

Israel does not deserve to be in the United Nations

He further added: A regime that does not believe in international principles and norms and peaceful living, and its creation was based on aggression against a nation, does not have the existence to be present in international forums.

Regarding the cancellation of the membership of the Zionist regime in the United Nations, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Iran stated: Initiatives have been started for a long time to oppose Israel's continued presence in the United Nations. The international community has come to the conclusion that such a regime does not deserve to be in the United Nations. Countries in a collective action and coalition banned Israel's membership in the United Nations. With the same logic, the presence of Israeli representatives in gatherings, seminars and international meetings about international problems has no basis.

Baqaei also answered a question about "Has Trump's appointed team taken any action to interact with Iran and has communication been established in this regard?" He stated: The communication channel between Iran and America is the office of the protector of this country's interests in Tehran, this channel has already existed and continues to exist for the exchange of messages.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Affairs, in response to the question that if there are negotiations between Iran and Europe, in what areas will these negotiations take place, he said: We talked with the Europeans on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly about the issues that were of concern and interest to both parties.

He added: The range of issues that were discussed between us and the European countries in New York were numerous, and in the future, with the same goodwill and approach, we are ready to consult and discuss, taking into account the national interests and the three principles of honor, wisdom and expediency.

In response to a question about Ali Larijani's trip to Syria and Lebanon, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: Being in Lebanon and Syria as two leading and pioneering countries in preventing the expansionism of the Zionist regime had a clear message. A message about the resolute and continuous support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of Lebanon and Syria against the continued aggression and warmongering movements of the Zionist regime in the region.
