TEHRAN (Defapress) - Görkan Demir, head of the Ulusal TV office in Iran, said in an interview with Defa Press correspondent: "My goal in attending the memorial ceremony for 200 martyred journalists of the resistance movement, entitled "Assassination of Truth," was to honor and respect them".

The heavy responsibility of resistance axis journalists

Demir added: "The responsibility of continuing the path of the martyred journalists of the resistance movement is very difficult. By attending this ceremony, I announced that journalists will not retreat from the field of information in the Gaza war against the Zionist regime."

He noted: "Holding a memorial ceremony for 200 martyred journalists of the resistance movement is a very good initiative in itself, but I must say that it is not enough and we must go to Rafah and Lebanon to record as many events and incidents of the war as possible."

The head of the Turkish Ulusal TV office in Iran continued: "We journalists in the field of resistance must announce to the people of the world by being present in Gaza and Lebanon that the Palestinian people are not alone at this time and today."

Regarding the Zionist regime's terrorist act of martyring "Mohammad Afif", Demir said: "When I heard the news yesterday of the martyrdom of "Mohammad Afif", the media chief of Hezbollah in Lebanon, I was very saddened. But I must say that neither the people nor the resistance groups in the region will ever forget these great people."

The head of the Turkish Ulusal TV office in Iran said at the end of his speech: "The martyrs of the resistance axis journalists gave us a flag, and it is incumbent upon all of us journalists to raise this flag and raise it to the alert."
