TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Zionist media while citing a source familiar with the negotiations with Hamas, noted on Monday: “Progress has been made on a key issue in the conflict with Hamas, but we are not at a stage where optimism prevails.”
That source stressed that Hamas insists on stopping the war and without this, no development will be achieved. Some (Zionist) ministers opposed some political aspects of the negotiations.
The informed source emphasized that progress has been made on a key issue over which we conflicted with Hamas.
Meanwhile, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced that there is a potential opportunity to achieve progress in ending the Gaza war after the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
"We may make progress in ending the Gaza war as a result of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah," Sullivan told CNN, according to the Associated Press.
Meanwhile, an informed Egyptian source reported that a delegation of leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) met with Egyptian intelligence officials.
Earlier, Jihad Taha, the official spokesman for the Hamas movement, said in an interview with Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed on Saturday that the Hamas delegation's visit to Cairo is in line with the mediators' efforts to end the aggression against the people of the Gaza Strip.
