TEHRAN (Defapress) - Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo stated that over 45,000 people, including children, have been killed in the Gaza war, calling it a tragedy of the 21st century.

Using starvation as a weapon in the 21st century is unbelievable

Murillo emphasized that genocide is unfolding in Gaza, with over 100,000 injured. He condemned the deaths of journalists and aid workers, who were only fulfilling their humanitarian roles.

Murillo stated: "We are now witnessing how hunger is being used as a tool of war, and we see that some people have hypocritically entered to fight hunger."

The Colombian Foreign Minister emphasized: "Although hunger is being abused as a tool of war in front of everyone in Gaza, we cannot allow this to happen in the 21st century; this is Colombia's word."

The minister stressed that 74% of the victims are women and children, challenging international law and global order.

Murillo called for clear action, urging countries to sever ties with those failing to uphold basic human rights. "We may lack power, weapons, or alliances like advanced nations, but we can refuse to engage with those behaving unjustly in our time," he concluded.
