TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Palestinian news agency Maan, citing the Zionist news outlet, Israel Hayom, reported that Yehiel Leiter, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, stated that Egypt's increased military presence in the Sinai Peninsula violates the peace agreement signed between Cairo and Tel Aviv after the October 1973 war.

According to Israel Hayom, the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. warned in a conversation with leaders of Jewish organizations that Egypt is committing a serious violation of the peace agreement in Sinai.

This Zionist regime diplomat described Egypt's increased military presence in the Sinai Desert near the border with the occupied Palestinian territories as intolerable.

Leiter, who recently assumed his position, stated that Egypt is working in the Sinai Desert to build bases exclusively designated for offensive operations.

He described Egypt's actions as a serious violation of the agreement between the two parties.

The Zionist regime's ambassador to the U.S. emphasized that this issue had been concealed for a long time and that Israel intends to reveal it as soon as possible with full determination.

Earlier, the Zionist regime's news outlet, Nziv, in a report titled "Immediate Preparation to Counter Egypt's Military Threat is Necessary", stressed that the regime must prepare for a potential war with Egypt.

The report stated that stakeholders in Israel's security and military apparatus must provide satisfactory answers and appropriate solutions to urgent questions such as: "What is the current size of Egyptian forces capable of waging war against Israel, how much time is needed for full mobilization, and what capabilities do they possess?" and "How can the Israeli army prepare in a realistic timeframe to effectively defend against the threat in advance?"

The Zionist news outlet raised the question: What might happen in the event of a surprise attack by Egypt on Israel, considering the analysis of Egypt's military capabilities and new training over the past 20 years?

Egypt's Defense Minister visited the country's combat units stationed in the Sinai Desert and the Rafah region on Tuesday night, urging them to be prepared for any escalation in tensions.

Zionist regime media interpreted the request by Abdel Majeed Saqr, Egypt's Defense Minister, for the readiness of the country's Third Field Army as a move toward an aggressive stance by Egypt against Israel and the U.S.

Earlier, Egypt's Foreign Ministry, in a statement, deemed Donald Trump's plan for the forced displacement of Palestinians and the emptying of Palestinian land of its original inhabitants unacceptable and warned of its dangerous consequences.

This statement was issued after Trump, in controversial remarks, called for the complete evacuation of Gaza and the resettlement of Palestinians in neighboring Arab countries to solve the existing problems in Gaza.

Citing the lack of living conditions in Gaza due to widespread destruction, he instructed neighboring Arab countries, including Egypt and Jordan, to welcome and resettle the people of Gaza to reduce the problems in the Gaza Strip under the pretext of relocating its residents.
