TEHRAN (Defapress) - While the attacks and aggressions of the Zionist regime against Palestinians, especially the people of Gaza, continue, the adherence of Palestinian militant and jihadist groups to the weapons of resistance remains a fundamental principle in the discourse of resistance and is absolutely non-negotiable.
There are numerous reasons why the weapons of resistance cannot be subject to negotiation, and this article discusses some of the most important factors.
The first and most essential reason for the non-negotiability of resistance weapons is the legitimate and inherent right to self-defense against occupation and occupiers. According to international law, nations and peoples under occupation and siege have the right to take up arms and resist their occupiers.
The oppressed yet resilient Palestinian people, particularly those in the Gaza Strip, are no exception. Despite decades of siege and occupation by the aggressive Zionist war machine, they possess the undeniable right to arm themselves, form jihadist and resistance groups, and rise up against the Zionist occupiers to free themselves from the yoke of oppression.
The second reason underscoring the non-negotiability of resistance weapons is the historical failure of peace talks between Palestine and the Zionist regime. A thorough examination of the long and dark history of these negotiations reveals that this illegitimate occupying regime only understands the language of force and weapons. Therefore, armed resistance remains the only viable response.
The third reason is the successful experiences and victories of resistance groups against the Zionist enemy. A clear example of these triumphs can be seen in various operations carried out by Palestinian resistance groups, such as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, where, for the first time, the Zionist regime’s security and intelligence apparatus suffered a major and unexpected defeat at the hands of Palestinian resistance.
The fourth reason is the regional and international support for the resistance, which testifies to the non-negotiability of resistance weapons. Since the beginning of the occupation of Palestinian lands, countries in the region, as well as free nations across the world, have consistently defended the Palestinians’ undeniable right to uphold their cause and fight against the Zionist regime.
In light of this, a Hamas official, in an interview with Al Jazeera, expressed surprise at a proposal conveyed by Egypt, which explicitly emphasized the disarmament of the resistance. Egypt informed Hamas that there would be no agreement to end the war without negotiations on disarming the resistance.
However, Hamas sent a message to Egypt stating that any agreement must be based on ending the war and the withdrawal of occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, not on disarming the resistance. Hamas further stressed that the weapons of resistance, whether in whole or in part, are not up for negotiation, as they represent a fundamental right of the Palestinian people.
In this context, Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has repeatedly emphasized that the Palestinian cause remains the central and singular issue of the Islamic world. He has stated that resistance is the only path to liberating Al-Quds and the occupied Palestinian lands from the grip of the child-killing Zionist occupation regime.
Ultimately, the weapons of Palestinian resistance are not merely tools of defense but symbols of dignity and independence for the great Islamic nation. Any attempt to disarm the resistance equates to surrender before the Zionist occupiers and a disregard for the historical rights of the Palestinian people.
