America's Struggle to Get Israel Out of Political Isolation

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Axios, citing American and Israeli sources, the White House is trying to reduce tensions between the Zionist regime and Cairo and to hold a meeting between Benjamin Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Netanyahu and al-Sisi have not been in contact since the Gaza war, and American officials said that a prerequisite for holding the meeting is Netanyahu's agreement to a strategic gas deal with Cairo.

The report emphasized that the US strategy to improve relations between Tel Aviv and Arab countries is to use economic diplomacy. Washington is trying to use economic packages in the fields of energy and technology to bring countries such as Syria and Saudi Arabia towards normalizing relations.

According to the report, these measures aim to remove the Zionist regime from political and international isolation.

It was previously reported that Egypt had warned the Zionist regime through various channels and direct meetings, including during a recent meeting in Cairo, that it opposed any unilateral opening of the Rafah crossing.
