TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Iranian delegation will be headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht-Ravanchi.

A preliminary meeting of meeting was held in Tehran on Monday with the presence of experts and diplomats from the three countries.
This trilateral meeting is being held to follow up on the implementation of the Beijing Agreement.
In March 2023, an agreement was signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia in Beijing with the mediation of China; based on this agreement, which has become known as the Beijing Agreement, diplomatic relations between Tehran and Riyadh, which had been severed since 2015, were restored, and Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to reopen their embassies in each other's capitals and improve their political and economic relations.
In late November of last year, the second meeting of the joint trilateral committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia, and China to follow up on the Beijing Agreement was held in Riyadh.
At this meeting, which was chaired by Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the Iranian and Saudi sides reaffirmed their commitment to the full implementation of the Beijing Agreement and continuous efforts to consolidate good-neighborly relations between their countries through adherence to the Charter of the United Nations and the Statute of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and international law, including respect for the sovereignty, independence and security of states.
In addition, Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomed China’s positive and continuous role and the importance of its support and follow-up for the implementation of the Beijing Agreement.
China also expressed its readiness to continue supporting and encouraging the steps taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia to develop their relations in various fields.
