TEHRAN (DEfapress) - According to Sputnik, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced that six peacekeepers were killed and eight others were injured in a drone attack on a UN logistics base in the city of Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan state in central Sudan.

Guterres said that all those killed were Bangladeshi and were serving as part of the UN Interim Security Force for the Blue Zone (UNISFA).
The UN Secretary-General strongly condemned the attack, calling it "unjustifiable" and warning that attacks targeting UN peacekeepers could amount to war crimes under international law.
He also called for the immediate identification and accountability of the perpetrators of this attack.
