Recent Brutal Attacks by the US Are a Clear Violation of the MoU
TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a statement, referring to the US's repeated violation of the MoU to end the war this morning (Sunday), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that these brutal attacks show that the US regime does not attach the slightest value and credibility to its obligations and that breaking promises is part of the nature of this regime.

The text of the statement is as follows:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the airstrikes by the US terrorist army in the early hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026, on several monitoring and surveillance facilities on the southern coast of the country. These brutal attacks, which are a clear violation of Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter and a clear violation of Article 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding on the End of the Imposed War dated June 18, 2026, show that the US regime does not place the slightest value or credibility on its commitments and that breaking promises is part of the nature of this regime.
While recalling the responsibilities of the United Nations Security Council and its Secretary-General for international peace and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes its determination to defend Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity against US military aggression, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
