Zarif insists on strengthening economic relations with Senegal

Zarif insists on strengthening economic relations with Senegal(Tehran) Defapress: Iranian foreign minister who embarked on a tour to Africa and South America on Sunday evening said that the trip was aimed at strengthening bilateral economic and political ties with Senegal, Brazil, Uruguay and Namibi.

He made the remarks upn arrival in Senegal on Monday, adding that the large political- economic delegation accompanying him is in line with the goal.

“We have good relations with Senegal in economic field. During the visit, in addition to political and regional talks, we will discuss the developing economic relations with Senegal, which is an important country in the Francophone Africa region,” Mr. Zarif said.

The senior Iranian diplomat noted, “Iran is currently present in Senegal’s car market. Moreover, there are more economic grounds for further strengthening relations and we hope that can develop bilateral ties and increase the export of non-oil products and good and technical-engineering services to Senegal and three other countries”.

In addition to Senegal, the Iranian delegation is scheduled to visit Namibia, Brazil, and Uruguay as well.
