Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in Tehran on Sunday, addressing the heads of Iran's branches of power, government officials, ambassadors of the Islamic countries as well as invitees to the International Conference on Islamic Unity.
He criticized the Muslim states that ally with the US in matters concerning Palestine or Yemen, and stated, "Why should Muslim rulers side with the U.S. in its criminal acts against Palestine and Yemen? These rulers must know that in the two fronts, victory will be for the people of Palestine and Yemen, and the US and its allies will be defeated."
He also downplayed the impacts of the US sanctions against Iran, stressing that the Iranian nation is standing like a mountain against pressures and embargos.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also slammed Saudi regime for giving into US President Trump’s humiliating blusters about them, asserting, "You have heard the ranting US president analogized the Saudi rulers to ‘milking cows’. If the Al-Saud is not offended by these insults, we do not care. However, this humiliation targets the people of that country and other Muslim nations as well."
Ayatollah Khamenei invited heads of the Islamic countries to follow the rule of Islam rather than the arrogant powers, saying, "I recommend the rulers of the Islamic countries to turn their attention to the rule of Islam; the rule of the US and the tyrannical system will not serve them. Today, some of the countries of our region follow the US, rather than the rule of Allah. The US…humiliates them."
Ayatollah Khamenei assured Muslims that with the power of Islamic awakening, the enemies will be defeated in the region.
"Wherever Islam has conquered the hearts of the people, the Front of Arrogance has been repelled. I strongly hold that the Arrogance will be slapped in the face, once again, by the Islamic awakening in our region. I advise Muslim nations to strengthen the movement of Islamic awakening as much as possible; because by strengthening the Islamic awakening, the region will be saved," he added.
"That the world's arrogant powers and at the top of them the criminal America and the Great Satan are sensitive to Western Asia is due to a spirit of reception of Islam and Islamic awakening among the regional nations," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
He also referred to declining power of the US regime and the abating of the Zionist regime, saying, "Today, the US is clearly much weaker in our region, compared to ten years ago. The Zionist regime is evidently weaker. A few years ago, the Zionist regime fought against Lebanon's Hezbollah for 33 days and was defeated. A couple of years later, it fought Palestinians for 22 days and was defeated. A while after that, it fought against the oppressed people of Gaza for 8 days and was finally defeated. In the confrontation erupting last week, the Zionist regime was once again defeated in just two days. This reveals the increased declining of the Zionist Regime."
The US Treasury Department announced all sanctions on Iran lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal would be back in force on November 5.
According to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the sweeping sanctions will see 700 people blacklisted, including people who were granted relief under the 2015 deal, as well as over 300 new names.
The Trump administration earlier agreed to allow eight countries to continue purchasing Iran’s crude oil after Washington’s sanctions on Tehran took place.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said earlier this month that the American officials had admitted their incapability to stop Iran's crude sales, and the US sanctions would only leave negative impacts on imports of foodstuff, medicine and medical equipment.
"What the Iranian officials said that the US is not able to zero Iran's oil exports was proved with the US recent admission," President Rouhani said after a trilateral meeting with the parliament speaker and judiciary chief in Tehran.
"The US announced that it cannot zero Iran's oil sales because the oil prices will rise to $150; this is what we had said (before). In this region, either Iran's oil is exported or others will be in trouble as well," he added.
President Rouhani referred to the US lies that the foodstuff, drugs and medical equipment were exempted from Washington's sanctions against Iran, and said, "This is incorrect. When the banking system is sanctioned, everything is affected."
