TEHRAN (Defapress) - The official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, announced in a statement that a military operation had been carried out against the Groton vessel in the Gulf of Aden. This action was taken because the ship's owning company violated the decision prohibiting entry into the ports of occupied Palestine.

Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e clarified that the operation was carried out by the "naval forces, the drone air force, and the missile force," confirming that the ship was hit accurately and directly.

He stated that this targeting is the second attack on the ship after it was targeted on August 3rd of this year, adding that this message confirms that defiance against the decisions of the Armed Forces will lead to companies in violation facing inevitable targeting.

He also reiterated that the Yemeni Armed Forces confirm their success in preventing Israeli navigation in the Red Sea, as well as enforcing the navigation ban in the declared operational area on all ships linked to the Israeli enemy or dealing with it, regardless of their destination or vessels belonging to companies with connections to this enemy.

Yahya Sare'e concluded the statement by affirming the continuation of the naval armed forces' operations in their operational area, as well as their ongoing support for the courageous Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank until the aggression stops and the blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza is lifted.
