Iran firmly condemned the aggression of the US and UK towards Yemen

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The ongoing military aggression by the United States and Britain towards Yemen constitutes a blatant infringement of the United Nations Charter and the essential tenets of international law, Baghaei stated in a declaration on Saturday. He urged the international community to recognize this violation and to hold both Washington and London accountable for their unlawful actions.

This statement was issued shortly after American and British military aircraft and naval vessels targeted various locations in Sana'a, Hudaydah, and other regions of Yemen, marking a significant escalation in hostilities by these foreign powers, which have sustained their unlawful presence in the West Asia region at the behest of certain monarchical Arab governments.

These assaults on Yemen occurred despite ongoing international efforts and appeals for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza.

In his remarks, the spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry identified the persistent occupation, militarism, and expansionist policies of the Zionist regime as primary factors contributing to regional insecurity and instability.

He emphasized the urgent need to halt the aggressive actions of the occupying regime against Lebanon and the atrocities in Gaza as a prerequisite for restoring peace and stability in the region.

Baghaei clarified that the responses from the people of Yemen and other Islamic nations in the region are reactions to Israeli transgressions in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, characterizing them as a natural response to the violence inflicted upon their Palestinian and Lebanese brothers and sisters.

The spokesperson reiterated that the unlawful use of force by the United States and its allies against the Yemeni populace will not diminish their resolve to support the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
