The Health Ministry of Gaza urges the global community to dispatch medical teams to northern Gaza

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Health Ministry in Gaza has requested international organizations for the dispatch of medical and surgical teams to hospitals located in northern Gaza.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted that Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern region is in urgent need of assistance due to the "ongoing intense assault by Zionist forces." Additionally, it called upon international organizations to supply ambulances for the transportation of the injured and ill to medical facilities.

Last week, Israeli forces exited Kamal Adwan Hospital following the detention of numerous medical personnel and several patients, resulting in significant damage to one of the few operational hospitals in northern Gaza.

The UN special rapporteur on health has introduced a novel term, “medicide,” to characterize the extensive and systematic assaults by Israel on healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
