UNRWA Claims War Rules Were Ignored in the Gaza War

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, has stated that the established rules of warfare have been disregarded in Gaza.

He reported an escalation in violence over the past 24 hours, with an increasing number of civilian casualties and injuries. Attacks on educational institutions and medical facilities have become frequent, as noted in his post on X on Sunday.

Lazzarini emphasized that the global community must not become desensitized to these events, asserting that all conflicts are governed by rules, which have all been violated in this instance.

The UN representative expressed that there is a collective anticipation for a ceasefire in Gaza, remarking that sufficient time has already been lost in the pursuit of a resolution.
