Resistance Was Victorious in Al-Aqsa Storm

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Iran, spoke at the first international conference titled "Al-Aqsa Storm and Gaza: Narratives and Realities," held today (Tuesday) at the Central Branch of the Islamic Azad University. He stated: "The Islamic Revolution turned the Islamic Republic of Iran into a ring of fire around the Zionist regime and the policies of Western countries in the region."

The representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement continued: "Al-Aqsa Storm did not emerge in a vacuum. Until today, the Palestinian people have faced immense oppression and numerous crimes committed against them."

He noted: "Israeli historians published a book titled Ethnic Cleansing, in which they documented with evidence the ethnic cleansing that has taken place in Palestine."

Abu Sharif added: "Today, we are facing Israeli occupation. Gaza has been under siege for years, and we have witnessed the Judaization of Gaza for years."

He emphasized: "Today, under the shadow of the fascist Zionist regime, we are witnessing efforts and processes aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause. At the same time, Biden proposed a project to liquidate the Palestinian issue, with the goal of first strengthening the regime in the region and then normalizing relations between the Zionist regime and Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Indonesia."

Abu Sharif stated: "The most important factors that led to October 7 were the issues I mentioned. But we must understand that the Resistance triumphed in the Al-Aqsa Storm operation because it was the greatest blow ever dealt to the Zionist regime in its history."

Gaza's Resistance Has Been Extraordinary

The representative of Islamic Jihad added in another part of his speech: "For about 15 months, we have witnessed the extraordinary resistance of the people of Gaza against the aggressive war waged by the regime. During this time, 100,000 tons of explosives were dropped on Gaza, yet the Palestinian people stood firm."

He continued: "While the war on Gaza was imposed on the people of this strip, we witnessed the immoral silence of the West. The West has completely failed in human and moral values."

Abu Sharif noted: "In the Gaza war, we saw Hezbollah enter the battlefield, stand firm, and inflict heavy losses on the Zionist enemy. The victory we achieved was astonishing."

Zionist Regime Failed to Achieve Its Goals in the Gaza War

The representative of Islamic Jihad added: "The Zionist regime failed to achieve any of its goals during the Gaza war. Their primary goal was to destroy the Resistance, but the Zionist regime failed in this."

He stated: "After 15 months of war in Gaza, the Zionist regime was forced to negotiate only with the Resistance. Now, we must continue our resistance against the Zionist regime."

Abu Sharif emphasized: "Although we suffered losses and made many sacrifices during the Gaza war, it must be understood that all nations under occupation have made such sacrifices. Of course, the Zionist enemy also paid a heavy price in this war."

Zionist Regime's Image Has Been Shattered

The representative of Islamic Jihad added: "The first issue during the Gaza war was the erosion and destruction of the Zionist enemy's image. In this war, we saw this image shattered, and we witnessed a shift in global public opinion. Moreover, the Zionist enemy is now experiencing internal weakness and division."

He continued: "Among the consequences of the Gaza war, we can point to reverse migration from the occupied territories. To date, 82,000 Israelis, who were capital owners, have permanently left the regime."

Abu Sharif noted: "The Zionist regime is now severely weakened, and at the same time, we are on the brink of a new phase and must master all elements of power."

The Battle Is Not Over

The representative of Islamic Jihad concluded: "Our battle is not yet over, and as long as the occupation persists, it will continue."
