Americans' Negative View of Trump Ahead of His First Speech to Congress

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The results of a new CNN poll, published yesterday, revealed that negative opinions outweigh positive ones in the United States across 3 key metrics: popularity, the correctness of priorities, and whether Trump's policies are steering the country in the right direction.

Overall, more than half of Americans—52%—disapproved of Trump's performance, while 48% expressed satisfaction with his performance.

According to the American network, this poll was conducted before Trump and his vice president's altercation with the Ukrainian president at the White House on Friday and does not reflect public opinion on that event.

The report stated that the number of Americans who believe Trump's proposed policies are leading the country in the wrong direction (45%) is higher than those who think they are on the right track (39%), with 15% expressing no opinion.

A majority of 52% also said that Trump has not paid enough attention to America's most pressing problems, while 40% said his priorities were correct, and 8% expressed uncertainty.
