UN Secretary-General Expresses Deep Concern over US Attacks on Yemen

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Al Jazeera reported that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his deep concern over the airstrikes by US forces on the port of Ras Issa in the province of Al-Hodeidah and its surrounding areas in Yemen, which took place on April 17 and 18, 2025.

Yemeni medical sources announced on Friday, April 18, that at least 74 employees and workers of the port have been martyred and more than 171 others have been injured following the brutal attack by US warplanes on the oil port of Ras Isa in the province of Al-Hodeidah. This figure is still not finalized and is likely to increase.

According to local media, the attack occurred when rescue and civil defense forces were busy extinguishing the fire and rescuing the injured from the first attack; But American warplanes targeted the location for the second time, committing this horrific crime.
