TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Ma’alumah, the Yemeni Ministry of Agriculture issued a statement warning of the environmental dangers resulting from the brutal US attacks on the port of Ras Isa in the province of Al-Hodeidah.

The statement states: The bombing has destroyed warehouses and leaked oil and toxic substances into the Red Sea. This could lead to an environmental disaster.

The statement further emphasizes: Marine organisms are at risk due to the leakage of these toxic substances; these marine organisms are a source of food for thousands of Yemeni families.

Earlier, Turkish media, citing sources in the country’s Foreign Ministry, announced that a Turkish tanker docked in the port of Ras Isa in Yemen suffered damage as a result of the attack by US forces on the port.

These Turkish diplomatic sources have announced that the tanker was damaged by shrapnel from the explosion and that the matter is being urgently followed up at the highest levels.

Yemeni medical sources announced on Friday, April 18, that at least 74 employees and workers of the port have been martyred and more than 171 others have been injured following the brutal attack by American warplanes on the Ras Isa oil port in Hodeidah province.
