UAE and Israel Cooperation to Spy on Gaza and Qatar

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Quds News Network, secret documents attributed to the UAE intelligence agency revealed a level of intelligence cooperation between the UAE government and the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad), which included espionage missions inside the Gaza Strip and Qatar and the implementation of direct orders from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to documents published by Arab news sources, Netanyahu's orders to the UAE were "derogatory" and lacked the "spirit of cooperation between equal partners." These orders included increasing the level of UAE intelligence operations in Gaza and Qatar, along with advanced equipment and tools provided by Israel, and a one-month deadline to present results.

The documents state that Israel has requested a fivefold increase in the number of officers and teams operating in Qatar, as Tel Aviv considers the country sensitive to its support for Hamas. The language of Israel’s orders has also been described by some Emirati intelligence officials as high-handed and insulting, leading to criticism.

According to the documents, Emirati intelligence officials have expressed concern and surprise at the tone of the Israeli letters, which do not reflect equal cooperative relations.

The leaked documents and news show that security and intelligence cooperation between Tel Aviv and the capitals of some Arab countries, especially Abu Dhabi, has intensified in recent years.

With the signing of agreements to normalize relations between the UAE and Israel in 2020, the level of cooperation entered a more formal and extensive stage. Since then, numerous reports and documents have indicated joint cooperation in the fight against regional armed groups and the exchange of security information, the latest of which have revealed new dimensions.
