TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Gallup’s survey, only 48% of Americans in December 2025 described Trump as "strong and decisive"; this is a decrease from 59% in February 2017, at the beginning of his first term.

During his second term in office, Trump has faced widespread criticism; including the deployment of National Guard troops to several U.S. states, tightening immigration policies, the handling of documents related to Epstein, increasing tensions with Venezuela, and military movements in the region.
Now, 51% of Americans believe that Trump no longer embodies strength and decisiveness. This 11% drop is seen as a sign of the erosion of the president's political capital.
The AtlasIntel survey in December showed 59.6% opposed to him and only 39.3% in favor.
According to the Reuters poll, Trump's approval rating has dropped from 47% in January to 39% in December.
