Baghaei's Response to the German Chancellor's Baseless Accusations and Hypocrisy

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In response to the German Chancellor's accusations against Iran regarding the suspected explosion near the UAE nuclear power plant, Esmail Baghaei, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, wrote in a message in German on his personal page: "Mr. Friedrich Mertz, hypocrisy becomes apparent when the open attack by the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran's nuclear facilities - which are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency - is not only not condemned, but is actually justified; but regarding an incident that was a false flag operation by the enemies of peace and reconciliation in the region and for which even the UAE has not officially named Iran as responsible, the language of "international law" and "regional security" suddenly comes into play."

"If an attack on nuclear facilities poses a threat to the people of the region, this principle should apply to all countries, not just when Western political interests demand it," he added.

Baghaei continued: In German literature, such “selective arbitration” is reminiscent of “Judge Adam” in the play “The Cracked Pot”; he is the judge whose crimes must be judged, but who pretends to be a defender of justice!
