War Is Officially Over: Any Attack by Israel on Lebanon Is a Violation of the MoU
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Foreign Minister, in a meeting with foreign ambassadors residing in Tehran, stated: "Today, our meeting is about the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, which was finalized on Sunday, and its official signing will take place soon."

He continued: "Probably on Friday, at a location to be determined, and the new round of Iran-US negotiations will begin on the same day."
The Iranian Foreign Minister added: "Since Monday morning, Tehran time, when the agreement was finalized, the end of the war was also announced, but the official start of this memorandum will be on Friday."
Araghchi added: "Due to difficulties in reaching an understanding and the aggressions of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, we decided to divide the negotiations into two stages." The first stage of ending the war, the Strait of Hormuz, and the release of blocked Iranian funds and reconstruction were discussed. Then the negotiations will continue for 60 days to reach a final agreement, which will discuss the nuclear issue and lifting sanctions.
He continued: The war should end on all fronts, including Lebanon. Due to the connection that the war in Lebanon gained with the war with Iran, and these two fronts became dependent on each other, from day one, Iran considered ending the war in Lebanon as a prerequisite for ending the war with Iran.
Araghchi emphasized: Now that we have ended the war, the war in Lebanon will also end. In our opinion, the two parties to this memorandum are the United States and the Zionist regime on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah on the other. Ending the war also includes ending the occupation of Lebanon. The war will not end without the Zionist regime withdrawing from Lebanon. Any military attack by the Zionist regime on Lebanon from now on and the continued occupation of Lebanese lands will definitely be considered a violation of the memorandum of understanding, in our opinion.
The Iranian Foreign Minister added: "The important issue I want to emphasize here is that in our view, the two parties to this memorandum are the United States and Israel on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah on the other."
Araghchi concluded by thanking Pakistan and Qatar for their mediating role.
