We Will Not Back Down Until the Complete Defeat of the American-Zionist Enemy

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a statement on the anniversary of the arrival of the Iran's proud released prisoners of the Eight-Year Sacred Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized: We will not back down from the legitimate demands of the people and the requests of our dear Leader in the face of the aggressor America until the complete defeat of the American-Zionist enemies in the region, the realization of the rights of the heroic Iranian nation, and the surrender of the enemy.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces commemorates the anniversary of the arrival of the country's proud released prisoners of the Eight-Year Sacred Defense and congratulates all veterans and their honorable families on this happy and auspicious day.

The eight-year Sacred Defense is a golden page of pride, growth, honor, and zeal for Iranians, which, in the glorious history of the Islamic Revolution, became a symbol of self-belief, love of freedom, anti-oppression, adherence to the guardianship, and insight of those who sacrificed their lives. In responding to the call of the Supreme Leader, they stood heroically against the aggression of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and gave meaning to Islamic honor and authority, and the proud released prisoners of war shone like a jewel on the crown of that era. Now, 37 years after those years of epic sacrifice, the sacred and valuable capital of standing firm and resistance inherited from that proud generation has turned into a sturdy and deep-rooted tree. It has reached the hands of brave and free youth who, in response to the martyred Leader and the grand Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, have stood against the most well-equipped army in the world, namely criminal America, and brought their bankrupt leaders to their knees. This precious legacy always speaks of the pursuit of justice and anti-oppression of the heroic and raised nation of Islamic Iran, who for more than 160 nights and days, in support of their children in the Armed Forces, have echoed the call for vengeance for the pure blood of their martyred Leader and emphasized the strength, authority, and steadfastness of the Armed Forces against the bullying and excessive demands of the global hegemony and arrogance system led by terrorist America.

Expressing gratitude for the iron will and firm, unwavering determination of the tireless, patient, and raised nation of Islamic Iran, the General Staff of the Armed Forces assures them that until the complete defeat of the American-Zionist enemies in the region, the realization of the rights of the heroic Iranian nation, and the surrender of the enemy, it will not back down from the legitimate demands of the people and the requests of our dear Leader in the face of aggressor America.
