Iran, Russia, Turkey to Meet Regularly on Syria"As (the) three leaders have taken very critical decisions to end the humanitarian crisis in Syria, hopefully, we’ll begin to see the positive effects of these decisions on the ground,” Erdogan said commenting on a recent trilateral meeting on Syria in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Hurriyet Daily News reported on Sunday.

He added that the three leaders (Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Erdogan) will meet once in every 15 days or a month.

"Our meetings will continue regularly,” he also said.

Rouhani, Putin and Erdogan convened on Nov. 22 for a key summit to discuss the political future of Syria.

They stressed the determination of the three countries to continue working together to help restore peace in Syria and praised their cooperation aimed at safeguarding a ceasefire in Syria that came during the intra-Syrian talks brokered by the three countries in the Kazakh capital, Astana.

The three leaders also agreed to a "congress” of Syria’s government and opposition forces to be held in Sochi.

Nearly half a million people have lost their lives in Syria since the foreign-back militancy began in the country in 2011. According to the US, the violence has already displaced over half of Syria’s 18 million-strong population, both internally and abroad.
