Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a post on his X account on Sunday, where he said he had warned his British counterpart David Cameron in a meeting last month in Switzerland that the current crisis in the region has no military solution.
“[You] do not [want to] test the wrath of the region. We consider the security of Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank) to be the security of the region,” said the top Iranian diplomat.
The post came after the US and Britain launched dozens of attacks on Yemen in a renewed attempt to force the Arab country to stop targeting Israeli-linked ships sailing in regional waters in support of Palestine and its struggle against the Israeli regime.
It also came two days after the US launched numerous attacks on targets inside Iraq and Syria in retaliation for a fatal attack late last month on one its military bases in Jordan.
In his message on the X, Amir-Abdollahian once again voiced Iran’s strong condemnation of the US attacks on Iraq and Syria as well as attacks by the US and UK on Yemen.
